TauBu Girls’ August Movie Picks
August is looking to be a great month for movies. The TauBu Girls share their favorite flick picks.

A Manhattan bike messenger picks up the wrong envelope and rides like hell through the streets, off the walls and over the cabs of New York in “Premium Rush.“
- Hit & Run, August 24: Having a penchant for track car racing, TauBu Girl Amanda is most excited about Hit & Run starring Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard and Bradley Cooper. Shepard plays Charlie Bronson, a former getaway driver who jeopardizes his Witness Protection Plan identity to help his gorgeous blonde girlfriend (Bell) get to Los Angeles – with the feds and his former bank robbing gang hot on their trail. Romance, comedy and some classic car chase action.
- The Apparition, August 24: TauBu Girl Jamile has a bit of a dark side (and we dig it). So, she’s looking forward to the release of The Apparition, a dark thriller about a couple haunted by a supernatural presence unleashed during a college experiment. It’s an epic head-game of a horror flick starring the gorgeous Ashley Greene of Twilight fame, Tom Felton, who played Draco in the Harry Potter series, and Romanian actor Sebastian Stan. Oh, and Green looks great in a little black hot pants PJs number.
- Premium Rush, August 24: TauBu Girl Aubrey is another speedster chick with mad athletic skills. She’s itching to see Premium Rush, an action thriller about a Manhattan bike messenger played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, one of NY’s best. Riding a super lightweight, single-gear bike with no brakes, he picks up his last envelope of the day and quickly finds himself riding for his life from a dirty copy who wants that package. Premium Rush was shot simultaneously as Triple Rush, a TV docu-reality series about bike messengers. If you know anything about these guys, you know they’re part athlete, part nutcase, all extreme. In fact, during filming, Gordon-Levitt rode his bike full on into a cap and smashed into the rear windshield, shattering it. Pints of blood and 31 stitches later, he was back to work. Extreme, indeed.
